2010 REAL COLORADO CUP

Last year 280 teams came to our beautiful fields from Washington, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Iowa, Minnesota , New Mexico , Wyoming , Montana , Kansas , South Dakota , Nebraska , Utah and Colorado. An excellent time was had by all – great soccer and lots of fun. Our tournament will fill in 2010 so PLEASE APPLY EARLY!!

WHEN:
THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND MONDAY, MAY 27-31, 2010
  • Play will begin at 4 pm on Thursday, May 27, at Dick's Sporting Goods Park for Denver Metro teams (including Ft. Collins, Boulder and Colorado Springs)
  • Out-of-metro teams will begin play on either Friday, May 28 at 4 pm or Saturday, May 29, at 8 am
WHERE:                                                  
  • ALL PLAY WILL BE ONLY ON THESE THREE SITES:
  • Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Home of the Colorado Rapids, 23 full-sized fields, including 2 turf fields, fully-lit, state-of-the-art, largest professional sports complex in the world, located 15 minutes from Aurora Sports Park and 25 minutes from Dove Valley
  • Aurora Sports Park, Home of the 2005 Far West Regionals, 11 full-sized fields and 4 8v8 fields, located 15 minutes from Dick's Sporting Goods Park and 15 minutes from Dove Valley
  • Dove Valley Park, beautiful, 9 full-sized grass fields, located in Dove Valley area, across from Denver Broncos Training Facility, located 15 minutes from Aurora Sports Park and 25 minutes from Dick's Sporting Goods Park                               
WHO:
  • USYSA  and US Club Soccer affiliated boys and girls
  • Spring of 2010 or Fall of 2009, Under-11 through U-18, Competitive Teams
  • Spring of 2010, Under-10 Recreational and U10 Option I Recreational Teams (will play 11v11 but can choose to play U10 teams only or to play U11 teams -- final placement will depend on record)
  • Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions in every age group possible
  • Platinum Division will be invitation-only for highest level team, based on applicants. 
ENTRY DEADLINE:
  •   Entry Deadline Extended to May 1, 2010

  • $50 late fee if application not made on or before May 1, 2010
  • Acceptance on space-available basis after entry deadline
ROSTER/PLAYER INFORMATION:
  • Spring 2010 rosters must be provided at Tournament Check-in (unless team didn’t play in the spring). Teams must be duly registered with their respective state associations.
  • Teams may include up to (6) guest players but may not exceed a total roster size of 18.
  • All other players must be registered to the team making application.
  • No players may be added after the first game has been played – NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • All players, including guests, must have a valid Fall 2009/Spring 2010 approved state youth player pass card with player's picture.
  • Players may participate on one team only during the entire tournament.
  • All teams from outside of Colorado must provide approved travel papers at Team Check-In or they will not be allowed to play.
TEAM ENTRY FEE:
  • ENTRY FEE: $825 PER TEAM PLAYING U10-U18
  • EVERY REGISTRATION PACKAGE WILL INCLUDE 15 VOUCHERS FOR 15 COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS FOR ONE OF THREE COLORADO RAPIDS HOME GAMES DURING THE 2010 SEASON.
  • One of these three home games will be played in the stadium at Dick's Sporting Goods Park during the 2010 Real Colorado Cup.
  • No tournament play during Rapids game.
  • Additional tickets will be available for purchase at discounted price for family members, chaperones, etc.  Each year the entire game has sold out and teams who waited were unable to get tickets.
  • The CO Rapids are offering incentives this year for additional ticket sales and early booking. Please see the CO Rapids Tickets Page.
  • Payment of Tournament Fee will be accepted by credit card online at the time of application or via check which must be received within 2 weeks of application. 
  • Payments will be charged upon receipt of application.
  • No application will be considered until payment has been received by Real Colorado. 
  • Depositing or charging of fee does not constitute acceptance.
  • Any teams not accepted will receive a full refund.  
  • No refunds will be given once a team has been accepted. (State Cup Teams excepted.)
  • If payment is received after entry deadline of April 22, 2010, a late fee of $50 will be charged and acceptance will be on a space-available basis.

TEAM SELECTION :

  • Selection to the tournament, as well as division placement, will be based on team history and record.
  • Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions in every age group possible.
  • Age Groups may be combined to allow for appropriate play.
  • Late registration will be accepted on a space available basis only – additional late fee of $50.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
  • All traveling teams are required to stay in a designated Real Colorado Cup Hotel and must make their reservations through Anthony Travel or they will not be allowed to play. Click here to go to Anthony Travel's website to view all available hotels and prices.
  • All teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games.
  • Finalists will receive 1st and 2nd place individual awards in all divisions.
  • All Champion and Finalists teams will receive a team award. 
  • Communication from the Real Colorado Cup will be via email and website only, so team contact, team manager, team coach should check email and this website often, please.
  • MANDATORY Team Check-In Reception for Metro Denver teams (including Colorado Springs and Boulder) will be Tuesday, May 25, 2010, from 6-9 pm at the Marriott South Park Meadows.
  • Out of state team check-in will take place at Dick's Sporting Goods Park from 1 pm till 7 pm on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Cantina Restaurant.
  • Field check-ins will be available in extraordinary circumstances, but only if the Tournament Director has been previously notified and has approved.
  • Coaches will receive a gift (one per team).  Players will receive a tournament memento.
  • Officials are certified by the United States Soccer Federation.
  • First games are Thursday or Friday or Saturday, as stated previously.
  • Website results available throughout tournament for easy ability to track up-to-date standings anytime.
  • Website access will be critical to teams during the tournament so it is highly encouraged that there is a team representative traveling with the team with access.
  • This is a great time of year for tournaments in Colorado! Your team will have a wonderful time!
