WHEN:

  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 23-26, 2008
  • Memorial Day Weekend
  • Play will begin for all teams at noon on Friday, May 23

WHO:

  • U13  - U17 ODP and State Cup Finalist Teams
  • U16 and U17 Elite Boys and Girls Teams

WHERE:

  • Dick's Sporting Goods Park, home of the CO Rapids
    • 21 Full-Sized Grass Fields
    • 2 Synthetic Turf Fields
    • Located on 917 acres
    • All fields fully lit in this State-of-the-Art Facility
    • CO Rapids Brand New Stadium is the heart of the Complex

ENTRY FEE:

  • $850 PER TEAM
  • EVERY REGISTRATION PACKAGE WILL INCLUDE 15 VOUCHERS FOR 15 COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS TO ONE OF THREE COLORADO RAPIDS HOME GAMES DURING THE 2008 SEASON. For more information, click here (to be activated soon).
  • Payment will be accepted by credit card online or by check or money order.
  • Applications will not be considered for acceptance until payment is received.
  • All payments will be deposited or charged when received.
  • If a team is not accepted, tournament fee will be refunded in full.
  • Once a team is accepted via email, no refunds will be given.
  • Only a limited number of teams will be accepted.
  • In 2007, 125 teams played, with 55 coming from outside of Colorado

APPLICATION PROCESS:

  • All applications must be made online - www.coloradoshowcase.org
  • Payment will be accepted by credit card online or by check/money order which must be received before application is considered for acceptance
  • Any application received after April 15, 2008 must include a $50 late registration fee, and will be accepted on a space available basis.

FORMAT OF PLAY:

  • U13-14 ODP/State Cup Finalists will play for division championships
  • U15-17 ODP/State Cup Finalists and Elite Division games will be exhibition-only
  • All teams guaranteed 3 games with additional games available as listed under General Information below

ROSTER/PLAYER INFORMATION:

  • Spring 2008 or Fall 2007 (depending on last season played) rosters must be provided at tournament check-in.
  • Teams must be duly registered with their respective state associations.
  • Club Teams may include up to (6) guest players but may not exceed a total roster size of 18.
  • All other players must be rostered to team making application.
  • ODP Teams may have a roster size of up to 22 players, with 18 dressing per game.
  • All players, including guests, must have a valid Fall 2007/Spring 2008 approved, laminated state youth player pass card with player’s picture. (ODP teams excepted)
  • All teams from outside Colorado must provide approved travel papers at Team Check-in or they will not be allowed to play.
  • Players who appear on a club team roster and an ODP roster may play on both teams in the ODP/State Cup Finalist Division, only.
  • No player may exceed 120 minutes of play per day. 


TEAM SELECTION:

  • Selection to the tournament will be based on team history and record.
  • Placement in specific divisions will be based on team history and record.
  • ODP Teams and State Cup Champions/Finalists to play in ODP/State Cup Finalist Division.
  • Late entries will be placed on a space available basis, and must pay the $50 late fee.


GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • All traveling teams are required to stay in a designated Colorado Showcase Hotel as listed on the Colorado Showcase website at www.coloradoshowcase.org, or they will not be allowed to play.
  • All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games, one game per day.
  • ODP teams can play a fourth game, if requested.
  • Club teams can play a fourth game, if available and requested.
  • All fourth games will be played on Monday, May 26, at an additional cost of $50 per team.
  • Communication from the Colorado Showcase will be via email and website only, so team contact, team manager, team coach should check email and this website often, please.
  • MANDATORY club team check-in reception will be held from 10-12 am on Friday, May 23, 2008, at the Cantina at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
  • Field check-ins for club teams will be available, but only if arrangements are made with the Tournament Director in advance.
  • Officials will be certified by the USSF.
  • Results of each day’s play will be available online.
  • This is a great time of year for tournaments in Colorado!  Your team will have a wonderful time!
